TRAVEL UPDATE

The MPS 2026 Congress (June 4–7, 2026) in Florence, Italy is currently proceeding as planned. The organizing committee continues to monitor global developments and international travel advisories. At this time, there are no restrictions affecting travel to Florence or the Tuscany region.
The safety of our attendees remains our highest priority. Participants are encouraged to review travel guidance from their national authorities and take standard international travel precautions. Any relevant updates will be communicated here.

Travel

Arriving to the Venue

Train

Thanks to high-speed railway, arriving in Florence by train is a matter of minutes. The Congress Venue is located just a few steps away from the main Santa Maria Novella railway station: 37 min from Bologna; 1h30min from Rome; 1h50min from Milan; 2h55min from Naples.

Plane

The Amerigo Vespucci International Airport (FLR) is only 4 km away from the Florence city centre, and Line T2 of the tramway connects it to the main Santa Maria Novella railway station in 20 minutes. The Galileo Galilei International Airport in Pisa (PSA) is only one hour away from the Florence city centre, and is connected to the Tuscan capital with trains departing every hour and Terravision buses. Thanks to high-speed trains connecting Bologna to Florence in half an hour, the Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna (BLQ) also allows you to easily reach Florence.

International participants may require a visa to attend the symposium. Please consult your local embassy for requirements and apply well in advance. For assistance, contact us for an official invitation letter to support your application.
