The 2026 International MPS and Related LSD Symposium will take place at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Florence, Italy, an ideal venue that blends historic charm with modern amenities. Located in the heart of the city, the Palazzo dei Congressi offers a stunning combination of architectural beauty, cultural heritage, and state-of-the-art facilities, creating a truly immersive experience for attendees.
Villa Vittoria is an exquisite Renaissance-style villa that is a centerpiece of the Palazzo dei Congressi. The Villa’s architecture reflects Florence’s rich cultural history, with its elegant interiors, grand staircases, and intricate frescoes evoking a sense of timeless grandeur.
Within Villa Vittoria is the Auditorium, where the Scientific Plenary Sessions will take place. With its blend of historic atmosphere and modern audio-visual technology, the Auditorium provides an excellent environment for presentations, allowing for seamless integration of scientific content with the Villa’s classical charm. The space comfortably accommodates 1000 attendees.
The Palazzo degli Affari, a modern addition to the Palazzo dei Congressi, will host the children’s program and family Plenary Sessions. While Villa Vittoria reflects Florence’s artistic heritage, the Palazzo degli Affari provides a sleek, contemporary space designed to meet the needs of families and younger attendees. With large, open areas and versatile rooms, it is the perfect location for engaging educational programs, creative workshops, and support sessions tailored to children affected by MPS and related lysosomal storage disorders (LSDs) and their families.
Both buildings will be programmed to intertwine all participants, ensuring a fluid and connected experience for attendees. The family and Scientific Programs will align, allowing for opportunities where families can engage with scientific content, while researchers and clinicians can gain insights into the lived experiences of those affected by MPS and related lysosomal storage disorders (LSD).
Limonaia, an adjacent venue within the Palazzo dei Congressi complex, offers an intimate and versatile setting for Satellite Symposia and networking events. Nestled among the lush greenery of the congress center, Limonaia exudes a peaceful ambiance, making it a perfect space for meetings of up to 100 participants.
